prepare for your kitchen install
Your dedicated project management team will clearly communicate what you can expect of the work about to be performed and answer any questions you may have. They will serve as your point of contact throughout the installation process.
To prepare for the Installation:
•Remove the content of your existing cabinets and drawers, clear countertops and turn off the furnace fan prior to the installer arriving
•Remove all antiques, breakables and other valuables from the area
•While your kitchen is out of commission, you will need to temporarily establish new meal routines. Consider relocating the microwave, refrigerator and small portable appliances (toaster, can openers, etc.) to another room or make other eating arrangements
If you have ordered a countertop from The Home Depot, Your Customer Order Specialist at your store will help coordinate with your Crew2 Project Manager to ensure that the project timeline includes a timeframe for template of the countertop. Your countertops can take approximately 2-3 weeks to be fabricated before they are ready to be installed. To prevent a delay, your Project Manager will help ensure your cabinet installer and countertop provider are working in sync.
If you did not order a countertop with The Home Depot, please keep in mind the following when coordinating your countertop provider with The Home Depot installers:
•To begin the countertop process, your base cabinets will need to be set before your countertop provider can schedule an appointment to create a template (measurement) of the area
•Once all cabinets and countertops (if applicable) are set, the final step is to complete any necessary plumbing, electrical, and backsplash if you purchased these for your kitchen remodel
In the days following your installation, you may receive a survey from The Home Depot. It is an opportunity to rate your installation experience with us. Our goal is to provide you with an experience that leaves you feeling Extremely Satisfied and we hope you will rate our installation team as such.
